LAHORE: The Australia national cricket team is expected to visit Pakistan as part of its preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup, according to media reports.
According to reports, all matches of the ODI series between the Pakistan national cricket team and Australia are likely to be held in Lahore.
The touring side is expected to play a three-match ODI series, with fixtures tentatively scheduled for May 31, June 2, and June 4. Reports added that the Pakistan Cricket Board will soon make an official announcement regarding the series schedule.
Following the Pakistan tour, the Australian team is also expected to travel to Bangladesh for another international assignment.
ICC updates global rankings for ODI and T20 formats
Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released the ODI and T20 player rankings, with India’s Abhishek Sharma retaining the top spot in the T20 batsmen rankings.
Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan is in third place. Bangladesh’s Tohid Harry Doye has risen 9 places to 39th place.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan retains the top spot in the T20 bowlers rankings, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed is in third place. Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza retains the top spot in the T20 all-rounders rankings.
Daryl Mitchell retains the top spot in the ODI batsmen rankings, while Virat Kohli retains the second spot. Bangladesh’s Najmul Hossain Shanto has risen 11 places to 32nd place.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan retains the top spot in the ODI bowlers rankings, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed retains the 11th spot. Bangladesh’s Sharaful Islam has moved up 11 places to 28th, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman is at 41st place after moving up 14 places, while Bangladesh’s Nahid Rana has moved up 16 places to 48th.
