DUBAI: India fast bowler Arsdeep Singh has been fined 15% of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
Indian fast bowler Arsdeep Singh was found guilty of a breach of Article 2.9 of the Code of Conduct for throwing a dangerous ball towards an opposing player in the final of the T20 World Cup against New Zealand on Sunday.
The incident occurred during the 11th over of New Zealand’s chase. Arsdeep Singh, after bowling a delivery, stopped the ball in the follow-through and tried to hit it on the stumps, which hit Daryl Mitchell’s pads.
After the throw, Arsdeep went back to his mark without apologizing. Later, umpire Richard Illingworth spoke to Arsdeep Singh, after which Arsdeep Singh apologised to Daryl Mitchell after the over.
