India rejects visas of four American players citing Pakistani roots

Nominees announced for T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament

NEW DELHI: A new controversy has emerged before the start of the T20 World Cup to be held in India.

The Indian visa applications of Pakistani-American cricketers have been rejected.

According to Indian media, the visa applications of 4 players of the US cricket team have been rejected.

These players include Ehsan Adil, Shayan Jahangir, Ali Khan, and Mohammad Mohsin.

After the visa rejection, questions began to be raised about the participation and preparations of the US cricket team in the World Cup.

This decision is being called against the principle of keeping sports separate from politics.

American fast bowler Ali Khan also shared a story on the social media platform Instagram regarding the visa rejection. After which, the matter became the center of attention.

There has been no official response from the Indian authorities or the International Cricket Council (ICC) in this regard.
