ISLAMABAD: Former captain Mohammad Hafeez has predicted whether the Pakistan team will participate in the World Cup or not.

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has expressed his opinion that the national team should participate in the T20 World Cup scheduled in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

On social media platform X, Hafeez urged the PCB to send the green shirts to the tournament.

Addressing the PCB, he wrote that ‘Pakistan should participate in the World Cup.’

In addition, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that the final decision on Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup will be made on Friday or Monday.

It should be noted that the ICC has included Scotland in the T20 World Cup after Bangladesh’s refusal.

Bangladesh refused to play World Cup matches in India, the BCCI had removed fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders under government pressure.

The ICC ultimately rejected Bangladesh’s request and issued a 24-hour ultimatum, maintaining the original schedule.
