Mohammad Yousuf rejoins Pakistan team for New Zealand tour

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that batting consultant Mohammad Yousuf will now accompany the national team on a white-ball tour of New Zealand. The announcement comes after Yousuf had earlier pulled out of the tour citing personal reasons, citing the health of his ailing daughter.

Speaking to the media, Yousuf shared a positive update on his daughter’s health, saying, “The doctors have said that my daughter is better now, so I am going with the team.” The former Pakistan captain’s decision to rejoin the squad has been welcomed by the PCB and the players, as his presence is considered crucial for the team’s preparations.

The national men’s team is set to leave for New Zealand on Wednesday morning, where they will play a series of five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One-Day Internationals. The matches are scheduled to be played at various venues in New Zealand between March 16 and April 5.
