LAHORE: In the second T20 match played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan scored 198 runs against Australia for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, setting the visiting team a target of 199 runs to win. The decision to bat first after winning the toss proved to be the right one for the Pakistani team overall.
Although Pakistan’s innings did not start very strongly and opener Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed early after scoring 5 runs, Saim Ayub played a short but aggressive innings and scored 23 runs off 11 balls.
Captain Salman Agha showed responsible and attractive batting and scored 76 runs off 40 balls, which included 8 fours and 4 sixes. His innings provided the basis for a big score for Pakistan.
