PCB reveals ODI, T20I squads for upcoming Australia, Zimbabwe tours

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced two 15-member squads for the upcoming tours of Australia and Zimbabwe. The national team will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in each country.

The Australia tour will take place from November 4-18, while the Zimbabwe matches will be held in Bulawayo from November 24 to December 5. Pakistan’s white-ball captain will be unveiled by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi at a media conference in Lahore at 3:30 pm.

Key players Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who were rested for the last two Tests against England, return for the Australia matches but will be rested for the Zimbabwe tour.

Mohammad Rizwan will be available for the Australia matches and Zimbabwe ODIs but will be rested for the Zimbabwe T20Is.

The squads include uncapped players Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Saim Ayub in the ODI team, while Jahandad Khan and Salman Ali Agha join the T20I squad for the first time. Kamran Ghulam, Omair Bin Yousuf, and Sufyan Moqim make their national side debut.

Fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain returns to the ODI side after his impressive performance in the Champions One-Day Cup. Four players – Arafat Minhas, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah, and Muhammad Irfan Khan – have been selected for both the ODI and T20I squads.

Australia Tour Squads

The ODI squad for Australia includes Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Arafat Minhas, Babar Azam, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah (WK), Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The T20I squad for Australia features Arafat Minhas, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah, Jahandad Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Omair Bin Yousuf, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufyan Moqim, and Usman Khan.

Zimbabwe Tour Squads

The ODI squad for the Zimbabwe tour consists of Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah (WK), Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Muhammad Irfan Khan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Tayyab Tahir.

The T20I squad for Zimbabwe includes Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah (WK), Jahandad Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Omair bin Yousuf, Qasim Akram, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha, Sufyan Moqim, Tayyab Tahir, and Usman Khan.
