Two-year ban imposed on Pakistan hockey team captain lifted

ISLAMABAD: Federal Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Division and Ad-hoc President Pakistan Hockey Federation Mohiuddin Wani, while reiterating his commitment to the revival and strengthening of national hockey, announced the immediate lifting of the ban imposed on national hockey team captain Imad Butt.

In a statement, Federal Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Division and Ad-hoc President Pakistan Hockey Federation Mohiuddin Wani announced the immediate lifting of the ban imposed on national hockey team captain Imad Shakeel Butt, saying that the players will focus only on training and matches, while the federation will handle other matters.

The Ad-hoc President Pakistan Hockey Federation said that all relevant institutions are united to revive the national game. Transparent and democratic elections will be held soon to elect a new leadership in the federation.

Mohiuddin Wani said that his top priority as ad-hoc president is to strengthen the institution, restore an atmosphere of trust, and reorganize the team management system.
