NEW YORK: Apple is set to significantly update its product line in early 2026, including new iPads, a budget iPhone, updated MacBooks, and an AI-powered Siri.
In February 2026, Apple plans to launch its new budget smartphone, the iPhone 17e, with an expected release date of February 19.
With a price tag of $599, the phone is likely to be introduced with the A19 chip, MagSafe support, and the latest C1X cellular and N1 connectivity chips.
Features like the 6.1-inch OLED display and 48-megapixel camera are likely to remain the same as the iPhone 16, with the device specifically targeting emerging markets and enterprise users.
According to media reports, these updates will focus mostly on performance and artificial intelligence (AI) features, while major design changes are not expected.
Apple is set to introduce the 12th-generation entry-level iPad and the 8th-generation iPad Air soon, with the new iPad powered by the A18 chip, while the iPad Air will be powered by the powerful M4 chip.
This will be the first time that an entry-level iPad will feature support for Apple Intelligence, which will enable upgraded Siri and other AI tools, but the hardware design is likely to remain the same as last year.
New MacBook Pro models are expected in March 2026, featuring the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. The limited availability of the current M4 series is being cited as a sign of new launches.
In addition, an updated Mac Studio, a new Studio Display, a Mac mini, and a lower-cost MacBook for education institutions could also be introduced, with major design changes, including an OLED display and touch support, expected later in the year.
The iPad mini could be the only device in the series to see a significant change, as it is reported to include an OLED display. Overall, Apple wants to make the entry-level iPads more attractive to the education and business sectors.
Meanwhile, Apple is also going to give Siri a major AI upgrade. The iOS 26.4 beta, which is likely to arrive around February 23, will give Siri more natural conversation, contextual understanding, and a chatbot-like interface.
The experience will be further improved later in 27, which could be a major milestone in Apple’s voice assistant technology.
Overall, Apple’s early 2026 planning reflects a combination of efficiency, innovation, and accessibility. If these launches go according to plan, the next few months could prove to be the busiest and most important for Apple in recent years.
