NEW YORK: Google celebrates “Pakistan Independence Day” by changing its doodles to a special illustration of the Pakistan Flag.

This year’s doodle features Pakistan’s green crescent-and-star flag waving proudly against a vast sky, symbolising national pride and commemorating the spirit of freedom.

The design has garnered global attention and contributed to the festive atmosphere across the country.

Google’s Independence Day tributes are frequently indicative of a country’s culture and history. For 2025, the waving flag takes center role, symbolizing togetherness and patriotism.

Google has been celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day with bespoke doodles since 2011, beginning with a green-themed design including the crescent, star, and Minar-e-Pakistan.

Over time, the practice has become a beloved feature of the nation’s annual celebrations.
