KARACHI: The Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has authorized the creation of an AI-driven employment platform together with a digital system that will enable users to file complaints, which will help people with disabilities find work and gain access to support services throughout the entire province.
The chief minister approved collaboration with the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration to develop a dedicated job portal for persons with disabilities.
The system will use AI technology to match job seekers with available positions while providing access to users in three languages which include Sindhi, Urdu, and English.
He said the initiative enables people with disabilities to take part in all aspects of work and social progress. The portal will connect the Sindh government with people who have disabilities while enabling departments throughout the province to use merit-based hiring practices.
The government will introduce a digital system that enables people to register complaints, which will help solve problems faced by people with disabilities while providing prompt solutions to their issues.
The complete job portal will start operations in May 2026, while the complaint resolution system will begin operation in July 2026.
The chief minister said the initiative fulfills the requirements of the 2018 Sindh Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act which establishes a 5 percent hiring requirement for government jobs and mandates the creation of support systems and central databases and disability certification methods.
