WhatsApp launches ‘schedule message’ feature on public request

WhatsApp may launch paid ‘WhatsApp Plus’ subscription

CALIFORNIA: WhatsApp is working on a new feature that enables users to schedule automatic message delivery in their chat conversations.

The new feature lets users send messages at scheduled times, which works for both direct messages and group chats, because competing messaging services have used this feature for many years.

WABetaInfo discovered the feature in WhatsApp beta version 26.7.10.72 for iOS, which was released to users. How It Works The tool, which may have the name Scheduled Messages, enables users to create a message that they can schedule for automatic delivery at their chosen date and time.

The system will send the message at its scheduled time without requiring any actions from the sender. Users can find their scheduled messages inside the “Scheduled Messages” section of the chat information screen.

Users can use this feature to check their scheduled messages, which they can delete before the messages are sent. WABetaInfo shared screenshots that show how the feature functions in a group chat environment.

WhatsApp plans to provide scheduling functions for both group chats and one-to-one conversations, according to recent developments.

The Scheduled Messages feature exists as an active project that beta testers currently cannot use. The feature currently exists in the testing phase, but its future release date remains uncertain because development teams can change existing plans.
