Cold wave expected in Karachi as temperatures drop from December 8

Karachi weather update: PMD predicts dry and cool at night today

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in cold weather in the city from December 8.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cold weather may increase in Karachi from December 8 due to slightly cold winds. Due to the westerly current affecting the northern parts of the country and Balochistan, the temperature in the city is expected to decrease from December 8. Due to which the weather will become colder.

According to the Chief Meteorologist Karachi, cold weather in Balochistan may also affect Karachi due to the westerly wind pattern. And winds from northeastern Balochistan may cause an increase in the cold in Karachi.

He said that there is no possibility of an extreme cold wave in Karachi until mid-December. However, the minimum temperature is likely to be between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius and the maximum is likely to be between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius.

The Chief Meteorologist said that due to the prevailing westerly winds, there is no possibility of rain in Karachi at the moment.
