ISLAMABAD: According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most parts of the country today, while southern Balochistan will remain in the grip of intense heat.
Temperatures are expected to be recorded above normal in many areas. The Meteorological Department says that the weather may change in southern Punjab, upper Sindh and northeastern Balochistan after noon.
There is a possibility of strong winds, gusty winds and thundershowers in Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Naseerabad, Kohlu, Barkhan and Musakhel.
The weather will remain hot in the federal capital Islamabad and its surroundings, however, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy.
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also remain hot, however, rain is expected in some areas of Kohistan, Battagram and Waziristan during the night.
The weather will remain partly cloudy in Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while thunderstorms may occur in some areas of Murree, Galiyat and Kashmir late at night.
The Meteorological Department has directed citizens to take precautionary measures, drink more water and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun in view of the intense heat.
