Islamabad weather forecast: Heavy rainfall anticipated in federal capital

ISLAMABAD: The federal capital witnessed hot and humid weather during the day, however, the weather changed when dark grey clouds covered the capital city later in the evening with drizzle making the environment relevantly cooler.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 26 degrees Celcius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 23 degrees Celcius during the night.

The humidity level ranges up to 93% with wind moving at the speed of 14 km/h. In addition, PMD predicts a 20% chance of rain in the next few hours. Heavy rainfall may start late at night.

According to PMD, a new monsoon spell has entered Pakistan causing these temperature changes. This new monsoon spell may come to an end on September 04, residents are advised to carry umbrellas when traveling during nighttime and stay updated with the latest weather forecast.

Earlier, heavy rainfall in Pakistan caused severe damage and several people lost their lives because of floods, whereas the infrastructure has also suffered from great loss, Trees fell at several places, and water gathered on the roads blocking the roads and entrance passageways disrupting the traffic flow.
