Islamabad Weather: Light rainfall expected in federal capital

ISLAMABAD: The federal capital enjoyed light to moderate drizzle in the morning which persisted the whole day with occasional gaps, whereas the maximum temperature recorded today was 27 degrees Celcius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 23 degrees Celcius during the night.

The humidity level ranges up to 82% with wind moving at the speed of 11 km/h. In addition, PMD predicts a 24% chance of rain in the next few hours. Heavy rainfall may start late at night.

Moreover PMD forecasts, heavy rains are expected in Islamabad,  Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Sargodha, Lahore, Karachi, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rahim Yar Khan, with the potential for flooding in D.G. Khan, Multan, and Bahawalpur divisions.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy skies are expected, with chances of thunder and rain at a few locations.

This new monsoon spell may come to an end on August 30, residents are advised to carry umbrellas when traveling during nighttime and stay updated with the latest weather forecast.
