Islamabad weather: Intermittent rainfall expected in federal capital

ISLAMABAD: The residents of Islamabad experienced light rainfall during the day, whereas light cool wind blew all day long, making the weather bearable as compared to the last few days.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Monsoon currents are penetrating the upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is also prevailing over the upper parts of the country.

Rain-wind/thundershower is expected at isolated places in East/Northeast Punjab, Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and North-East Balochistan. Hot and humid weather is likely to persist elsewhere in the country.
