Islamabad Weather: Light rainfall expected in federal capital

ISLAMABAD: The residents of twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been enjoying light intermittent rain and pleasant weather from early morning as the Monsoon season finally begins in the country.

The light thundershowers, which are expected to continue all day long, have provided the much-needed relief to the residents from the scorching heat and dry weather.

According to the Met Office, Rain, wind/thundershower with scattered heavy falls (at times very heavy) is expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali from 25th June to 01st July with occasional gaps.

Rain, wind/thundershower are expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, and Layyah from 26th to 28th June.
