Islamabad weather update: Cold weather to embrace capital city

ISLAMABAD: The citizens of the federal capital witnessed light sunlight in the morning after which the weather remained pleasant in the city. However, the temperatures are set to drop again during the night providing cooler nights in the federal capital.

The maximum temperature recorded today ranges up to 15 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature expected in the evening will range up to 6 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level in the federal capital ranges between 35 to 39% with light wind blowing in the northwest direction at the speed of 6 km/h. Whereas, the chance of precipitation is up to 0% today.

According to the Met Office, Rain with strong winds thundershowers, and snowfall in the mountains are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper/central Punjab, and Potohar region. The weather will remain cold and dry in other parts of the country.

The weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country on Monday. However, rain with strong winds thundershowers, and snowfall in the mountains are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas. During this time, cold winds are likely to blow in the plains.
