Islamabad weather update: Warmer days, cold nights ahead

ISLAMABAD: The residents of Islamabad experienced pleasant weather during the day, whereas light cool wind blew all day long, making the weather bearable as compared to the last few days. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper parts of the country. A trough of a westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of the country. Hot and humid weather is likely to persist in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavy falls) is expected in the Northeastern Punjab, Potohar region, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. ISLAMABAD: The citizens of the federal capital witnessed chilly winds at night after which bright sunlight appeared in the morning. However, the temperatures are set to drop during the night causing chilling weather in the federal capital.

The maximum temperature recorded today ranges up to 24 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature expected in the evening will range up to 13 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level in the federal capital ranges between 18 to 20% with light wind blowing in the northwest direction at the speed of 10 km/h. Whereas, the chance of precipitation is up to 1% today.

According to the Met Office, Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
