ISLAMABAD: The federal city experienced light and pleasant weather during the day with expected cloudy weather, gusty wind, and moderate to heavy rainfall during late evening. However, the temperatures varied from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
The humidity level rages up to 69% during the day and up to 90 % during late evening with a 60 percent chance of rain, followed by a light breeze in the direction northwest with a speed of 29 to 32 km/h. The air quality improved due to continuous rainfall from the last three days.
The Pakistan Metrological Department predicts heavy rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers in places,Dera ghazi Khan,Zoob, Barkhan, Moosa Khel, Loralai, Sibhi,Harnai, Kohlo, Dera Bugti, Jhal magsi, Naseerabad, Jafarabad,Jakababad, Larhkana, Dadu, Jamshoru, Lasbeela, Punjgor, Murree, Gilyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi.
PMD also issyed a flood alert in the lower regions of all above mentioned places
Moreover, heavy rainfalls may also occur at isolated places Gujrat, Sialkot, Bahawalnagar, Raheemyar Khan, Sakhar, Shikarpura, Kilaat, Khuzdar, from August 4 to August 7.
NDMA issued a warning stating that the lower regions of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Noshehra, and Kasur may get flooded due to heavy rainfall.
Earlier forecasts from the Met Office indicated rain likely in isolated places in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday, with isolated showers expected in northern Punjab.
