Karachi weather update: PMD forecasts hot weather to prevail in port city

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted pleasant weather in most districts of the Sindh province during the next 24 hours due to the depression forming in the Arabian Sea.

Today, Karachi experienced mainly dry weather, with temperatures ranging from 37°C to 26°C. However, the city will witness more sunshine, leading to a rise in temperatures. The humidity in the city varies up to 44% and the air is moving in the northwest direction at the speed of 18 km/h.

According to the Met Office, the weather will remain dry in most parts of the country. Strong winds are possible in Sindh, whereas thundershowers may affect Tharparkar, Umarkot, and surrounding areas during the evening or night.

Residents of Karachi are advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe during this period, such as staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during peak sun hours, and using protective gear like hats and sunglasses.
