LAHORE: The citizens of the provincial capital are witnessing cold wave in the provincial capital. Scattered rains are predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab.
According to the Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of Pakistan. Whereas, the minimum temperature in the city is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may reach 31 degrees Celsius. The humidity level in the air was recorded above 76% and the chances of precipitation are around 40%.
According to the Met Office, Intermittent rain-wind/thundershower is expected at most places in Kashmir, Islamabad, Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Scattered heavy falls (at times very heavy) are likely during the period.
Isolated rain-wind/thundershower is also likely in central/south Punjab and northeast/south Balochistan. However, people are advised to be careful as monsoon rains can cause flash floods in the lower-lying areas.
