Pakistan weather update: PMD predicts rain & snowfall in THESE areas!

Islamabad Weather: Thunderstorms lash federal capital as strong winds, rains persist

ISLAMABAD: Light rain and snowfall in the mountains are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy in most parts of the country today. It is likely to be extremely cold in the hilly areas in the morning and night.

Light rain and snowfall in the mountains are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. While smog and fog are likely in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has also issued an alert due to the forecast of rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The weather was cold and dry in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. While the lowest temperature was recorded in Leh at minus 9 degrees Celsius.

Skardu at minus 7, Ziarat at minus 6 and Gopis at minus 5 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Gilgit and Quetta was minus 4, and in Chitral, Dir and Kalat at minus 3 degrees Celsius.
