PMD forecasts heavy rain, snowfall

When will it rain in Pakistan? PMD issues forecast

ISLAMABAD: The Met Office has forecast the entry of a western disturbance in Balochistan on 19th December, which is expected to affect the upper parts of the country on 20th December.

Rain/wind storm with snowfall over hills: Expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Noushki, Harnai, Zhob, Musakhel, Turbat, Gawadar, Jiwani, Lasbella, Kech, Awaran, Panjgur, Kh

Khyber Pak

Rain-Wind/Thunderstorm (with moderately heavy snowfall in elevated areas) is also expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Bunner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Waziristan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi,

Rain-wind/thunderstorm accompanied by moderate to a few heavy snowfalls is also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Guanche, Shigar) & Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli

Punjab/I Rain/wind thunderstorm: Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Potohar region, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, and Layyah districts from the 20th evening to the 21st December.

Rain/wind thunderstorm with snow:

Murree and Galliyats are expected to experience cloudy weather with drizzle in Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Multan, Jhang, and D.G. Sindh. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are forecast in the whole province for the 19th/20th of December.”
