ISLAMABAD: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in various areas from March 24 to 30.
A strong westerly wind is likely to intensify on March 27, due to which there is a possibility of increasing the intensity of rain in many cities.
The effects of this system are expected to be more noticeable in Balochistan. Rain may occur in Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, Gwadar, Pasni and Ormara.
In addition, there is a possibility of cloudburst in Lasbela, Kharan, Khuzdar, Chagai, Dalbandin, Kalat, Sibi and Kohlu.
Intermittent rain is also expected in Quetta, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Loralai, Ziarat, Chaman and Pishin. Other areas such as Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Noshki, Harnai, Zhob and Mastung may also be affected by this system.
The weather is also predicted to change in the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Rain is likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam and Shangla. Rain is likely in Kohistan, Malakand, Buner, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad and Balakot from March 24 to 29.
Similarly, clouds may fall in Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Kurram, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat and Hangu. Rain is also expected in southern districts such as Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai and Dera Ismail Khan.
Rain has also been predicted in various parts of Punjab. Thunderstorms may occur in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree and Jhelum. Rain is also likely in Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad and Jhang. Weather conditions have also changed in Lahore, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal and Pakpattan.
Rain is also likely in the southern Punjab cities of Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Multan, Kot Addo and Bahawalpur, while rain is expected in Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan from March 25 to 30.
The effects of this system will also be seen in Sindh. Karachi and Hyderabad are likely to receive rain on March 25, 26, 28 and 29. Sukkur, Dadu, Kashmore, Jacobabad and Larkana may also receive rain. In addition, rain has also been predicted in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
