Weather likely to remain cold and dry across Pakistan

Karachi weather update: PMD predicts dry and cool at night today

ISLAMABAD: The weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country today, while the northern regions may experience partly cloudy weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, fog is expected to prevail in the plain districts of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night hours, due to which traffic has been advised to exercise caution.

The weather is also likely to remain partly cloudy in the central and southern districts of Balochistan. However, there is no clear possibility of rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours, while severe cold prevailed in the northern regions.

According to the minimum temperature recorded yesterday, the mercury dropped to minus 10 degrees Celsius in Leh, minus 6 degrees Celsius in Astore, minus 5 degrees Celsius in Gopis, while minus 4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Skardu, Hunza, and Kalat.

The minimum temperature in Kalam, Gilgit, Quetta, and Dir was minus 3 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures in view of the severity of the cold, especially to avoid unnecessary travel to the northern areas.
