Weather Update: PMD predicts cold weather, rain in Karachi

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has predicted severe cold in various parts of the country including Karachi.

The Meteorological Department has warned of a severe cold wave in Karachi, and there is a possibility of further drop in temperature in Karachi in the next few days.

The weather will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country today, with severe cold weather predicted in the mountainous areas during the morning and night.

There will be fog in the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; severe cold weather is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and partly cloudy weather is expected.

The weather will remain dry and extremely cold in Islamabad, Murree and Galiyat. Fog is expected in Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Multan, Bahawalpur, Jhang, Shorkot, Kot Addo, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.

The weather will remain cold and dry in most districts of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan. Fog is expected in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjodaro, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu and DI Khan.
