Widespread rain, snowfall in upper areas trigger fresh cold spell

ISLAMABAD: Rains and snowfall were recorded across the country, with snowfall in the upper reaches, due to which cold weather has set in again in various areas.

In Balochistan, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Kohlu, Naseerabad, and other areas faced flooding after heavy rain and hailstorms, where FC Balochistan carried out relief activities.

Meanwhile, snowfall in the mountains of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Naran Valley, Swat, and Ziarat in April turned the weather cold.

In addition, intermittent rain continued in various districts of Sindh and Punjab, a hailstorm was recorded in Dera Ghazi Khan and Fort Munro, and floods occurred in the rainy rivers.

Rain also fell in Swat, Abbottabad, Malakand, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Kurram, Khyber, Lower Dir, Swabi, North and South Waziristan, while in Peshawar, water from drains reached the roads and 4 people were killed and 19 people were injured in various accidents.
