UAE announces public holiday for 1st Muharram, 3-Day weekend ahead

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has announced four-day holidays for the private sector on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, according to the Arab News Agency.

The Saudi Ministry of Manpower has announced Eid al-Fitr holidays for private and non-profit institutions. Government spokesman Mohammed al-Rizqi announced that private and non-profit institutions will have four-day holidays on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

He said that the Eid al-Fitr holidays will begin on Wednesday, March 18 (29 Ramadan), from the end of work and will last for four days.

The spokesman urged owners of private institutions to comply with the instructions contained in the second paragraph of Article 24 of the Executive Regulation of the Labor Law.
