BEIJING: A strong earthquake has been felt in China.
According to Chinese media, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.1 on the Richter scale, and there are currently no reports of any casualties or property damage from the earthquake.
The earthquake occurred in the Xinjiang region, which is located in the northwestern part of the country and borders Kyrgyzstan. The earthquake occurred near Akchi County, which is located near the Kyrgyzstan-Xinjiang border.
According to the seismological center, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) below the surface of the earth.
It should be noted that strong earthquake tremors were also felt near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, yesterday, which was recorded at 5.1 on the Richter scale.
