Armenia suspends Tejas jet deal following Dubai Air Show Crash

NEW DELHI: Armenia suspended the purchase of the Indian fighter jet Tejas after the crash of the aircraft at the Dubai Air Show.

According to foreign media, Armenia and India were in talks to purchase 12 aircraft worth $1.2 billion, and if the deal were finalized, it would be the first major export deal for the Tejas fighter jet.

Reports have indicated that Israel Aerospace Industries will also lose tens of millions of dollars if Armenia cancels the purchase, as many advanced equipment such as radars manufactured in Israel have been included in the Tejas.

It should be noted that on November 21, during the air show in Dubai, the Indian fighter jet Tejas crashed, killing the pilot.
