SBP announces bank holiday on May 1st: Here's why!

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued the list of bank holidays for November 2025. Banks will remain closed on specific dates across different states for regional festivals and regular weekend offs.

As per the RBI calendar, banks in several states will be closed on November 1 for Kannada Rajyotsava and other local festivals. There will also be holidays on November 5 for Guru Nanak Jayanti, November 6 and 7 in Meghalaya for Nongkrem Dance Festival and Wangala Festival.

Furthermore, all banks across India will remain closed on November 8 (second Saturday), November 22 (fourth Saturday), and all Sundays as per the standard weekly holiday schedule.

Despite these closures, online banking, ATMs, and digital payment services will remain fully operational. Customers are advised to plan their cash transactions and branch visits accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
