TEHRAN: A former U.S. Marine intelligence officer has made striking claims about Iran’s military capabilities, suggesting that American and Israeli forces are facing unprecedented challenges in a hypothetical or ongoing conflict scenario.
In a viral clip of the officer claimed that, Iran has developed a sophisticated missile strategy that uses “sacrificial” projectiles to overwhelm advanced air defense systems, allowing high-value targets to be successfully struck.

The officer warned that U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies are suffering significant operational setbacks due to a fundamental misunderstanding of Iranian motives and strategies. He argued that Western leaders are blinded by “ignorance and arrogance,” failing to grasp the religious and cultural factors that drive Iranian resilience.
“American and Israeli forces have underestimated the depth of Iran’s strategic planning,” the officer said, suggesting that the population’s support for their government has only strengthened in the face of external aggression. The strategy, he claims, has effectively trapped the aggressors, who are unable to anticipate the combination of tactical ingenuity and a populace prepared for sacrifice.
The commentary concludes that the conflict may have been lost from the outset for the United States and Israel, as Iran’s emphasis on martyrdom-focused resolve and unified national support renders conventional military assumptions ineffective.
