TEHRAN: Iran has released details of the losses suffered in the Israeli army attacks during the 12-day war after a ceasefire came into effect today (Tuesday).

According to the Iranian Ministry of Health, 610 people were martyred in the Israeli army attacks during the past 12-day war, among them were 49 women, 13 children, including a 2-month-old baby.

Health Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour said that 5 medical workers from the health sector were also targeted by the Israeli army attacks.

While giving details, he added that 4,746 people were injured in the Israeli attacks, of whom 971 people are still undergoing treatment in hospitals, while 687 people underwent surgeries.

He also informed about the damage caused to medical facilities as a result of the Israeli attacks and said that 7 hospitals, 9 ambulances, 6 emergency response bases, and 4 clinics were destroyed in the Israeli army attacks, which made the provision of medical aid in the affected areas even more difficult.

Notably, Israel has been attacking Iran for the past 12 days, but today, Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire through the mediation of the United States and Qatar.
