BEIRUT: Israel continues to violate the ceasefire in Lebanon and 31 more people were martyred in fresh airstrikes.

At least 31 people were martyred in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Friday, according to Lebanon’s official news agency, the National News Agency.

It is being described as one of the deadliest days since clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah resumed on March 2.

According to the report, the martyrs include five people killed in two airstrikes on the town of Tora in the Tire district. Rescue operations are still underway to search for a missing girl buried under the rubble.

Similarly, an Israeli army drone targeted a vehicle on the road, killing a civil defense official.

In addition, five people were martyred in airstrikes in the villages of Bint Jbeil, while another four people were killed in an attack on the town of Sultaniya.

It should be noted that the ceasefire announced on April 17 was extended until May 17, however, the Israeli army continues to carry out attacks in Lebanon on a daily basis.
