TEL AVIV: Israeli warplanes have targeted several towns in southern Lebanon and a town in the western Bekaa in eastern Lebanon, wreaking havoc. According to Lebanon’s official National News Agency, Israeli drones also targeted the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh.
The Israeli army has issued an urgent warning to residents of nine towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa town of Qalaya in eastern Lebanon, calling on them to immediately evacuate their homes and move to open areas 1,000 meters away from these towns.
The death toll in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has reached 2,869. The number of injured has reached 8,730. On the other hand, Hezbollah announced in separate statements today that its members confronted an Israeli drone in the airspace of the Tyre region in southern Lebanon and targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military reported that Hezbollah had fired several rockets and drones loaded with explosives at Israeli forces in southern Lebanon over the past few hours.
The Israeli military and Lebanese Hezbollah have been engaged in a series of exchanges of fire. It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire in mid-April after talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. The ceasefire was extended on April 23.
