Saudi Arabia opens skilled job opportunities under Vision 2030

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia is providing employment opportunities for foreigners in various sectors under Vision 2030.

The kingdom also has a ‘Saudization’ policy, under which more jobs are being given to Saudi citizens in various sectors. However, this does not mean that opportunities have ended for foreigners, but now there are only those opportunities for them where special skills and experience are required.

According to the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment, the economy is being developed on modern lines in Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030. Which is creating new employment, investment and business opportunities for Pakistani talents and experts.

According to the agency, the aim of Saudi Vision 2030 is to transform the country into a diversified and private sector-led economy, where dependence on oil is being reduced and other sectors are being promoted.

The details released state that sectors such as mining and minerals, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, logistics, health, defense industry, tourism, cultural heritage, sports and entertainment are growing rapidly in Saudi Arabia.

Experts are needed in the mining sector for gold, phosphate, uranium exploration and infrastructure projects, while the demand for solar and wind energy specialists is increasing in renewable energy.

Similarly, there are opportunities for experts in e-governance, telecom, cloud services and data sharing in the digital sector.

In the logistics and transport sector, importance is also being given to people involved in port management, railway engineering and global trade activities.

In the health sector, the need for chronic disease specialists, healthcare management and private insurance experts remains, while in the defense industry there are also opportunities for those with expertise in aviation, electronics and local military needs.

In the tourism and hospitality sector, work is underway on projects related to increasing Umrah pilgrims, restoring historical sites and hospitality, as well as promoting international investment and cultural activities in the field of sports and entertainment.

According to experts, people wishing to go to Saudi Arabia should focus on modern technology, innovative skills, training capacity and transparent performance. In addition, there are also opportunities in special economic zones and business partnerships.
