China sends relied aid of flood victims in Pakistan

BEJIENG: Pakistan has been given new humanitarian assistance from China in support of flood victims, with relief supplies landing at Nur Khan Air Base. Authorities described the move as another indication of the long-standing Pak-China relationship.

Two Chinese relief flights transporting 300 tents and 9,000 blankets to Pakistan were received at Nur Khan Air Base, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Officials welcome aid

The relief aid was received by Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam and NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, in addition to the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan.

Minister Muqam stated that the assistance at this time indicates the “enduring friendship” between the nations. He further stated that, on the orders of the Prime Minister, the government departments and NDMA are taking efforts to provide relief to flood-affected areas.
