ISLAMABAD: Financial irregularities worth over Rs 14 billion have been revealed in federal social security programs.
Financial irregularities and weak control systems have been identified in Benazir Income Support Program, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Employees Old Age Benefits Institution and Ministry of Poverty Alleviation.
According to the details, the latest audit of social security programs has revealed financial irregularities worth over Rs 14 billion in federal social welfare and social safety net programs during the fiscal year 2024-25.
The audit report of the Auditor General of Pakistan for the audit year 2025-26 includes key government institutions, including Benazir Income Support Program, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Employees Old Age Benefits Institution and Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Security.
