ISLAMABAD: On the occasion of Independence Day in August, the people of Pakistan will get three consecutive days of holidays, which will provide them with the best opportunity to have fun and spend time with their families.
This year, Friday, August 14, will be the official holiday for Independence Day, while immediately after that, there will be the usual weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday. In this way, citizens will get the opportunity to rest and have fun for three consecutive days.
Usually, during consecutive holidays, people visit tourist destinations with their families, make travel plans or participate in various recreational activities.
However, on the occasion of Independence Day, national flag hoisting, special events, rallies and colorful activities of Independence Day will be organized across the country, while citizens will also decorate their homes, markets and highways with national flags and electric lights.
