Gold prices increase Rs1,500 per tola in Pakistan

Gold sheds Rs4,900 per tola, settles at Rs501,162

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan continued to rise for the fourth consecutive day, mirroring the rise in the international market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold rose by Rs 1,500 per tola to Rs 363,000 on Saturday. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs 1,206, now worth Rs 311,213.

The global bullion market also saw a slight increase, with gold rising by $15 per ounce to $3,432.

Silver prices in Pakistan also saw a slight increase. The tola price of 24-karat silver rose by Rs 7 to Rs 3,787 and the price of 10 grams to Rs 3,246.

This continued rise in precious metal prices is due to ongoing economic uncertainty, changes in currency values, and increased investor interest in safe assets like gold and silver.
