Gold prices soar Rs2,300 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices plunge in Pakistan as per tola rate drops Rs5,300

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan‘s local market increased significantly on Wednesday after seeing a decline in the previous two sessions.

According to data shared by All Pakistan and Gems Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,300 to Rs 288,700.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 1,972, the new price was fixed at Rs 247,513.

The price of the yellow metal also recorded an upward trend in the international market, where the rate per ounce increased by $ 22 to $ 2,763.

A day earlier, the price of gold per tola closed at Rs 289,100 after a decline of Rs 300. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 257 to Rs 227,209.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs 3,395, while the price of 10 grams was sold at Rs 2,910.

On the other hand, the upcoming review by the federal government is expected to increase petrol prices for the first fortnight of February 2025.

This comes at a time when global oil prices have seen a significant decline in recent days after the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

According to reports, petrol prices are likely to increase by Rs 3 per liter and high-speed diesel prices by Rs 6 per liter for the first half of February as the new prices will be announced on the night of January 31.
