ISLAMABAD: Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) has unveiled plans to supply at least 2,700 Belarusian tractors, each with up to 60 hp, to Pakistan in 2025.
As per the details, the agreement was signed during the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan, as shared by the enterprise’s press service.
MTZ General Director Sergei Oraminko highlighted the possibility of assembling these tractors in Pakistan. Local assembly is expected to reduce costs for consumers and increase accessibility.
Oraminko noted the strong and growing partnership between Minsk Tractor Works and Pakistan. Exports of Belarusian tractors saw a significant increase of 107.9% in January-September 2024 compared to the same period last year.
