LAHORE: The transfer fee for motorcycles and cars has been increased by 10 percent in Punjab.
The transfer fee for motorcycles has been increased by Rs55, from Rs550 to Rs605. For vehicles with engine capacity of 650 to 1000 cc, the fee has been increased by Rs275, which now totals Rs3,025.
Vehicles of 1000 to 1800 cc have seen an increase of Rs550, taking the new fee to Rs6,050. The transfer fee for vehicles above 1800 cc has been increased by Rs1,100, which is now fixed at Rs12,100. Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTV) also face an increase of Rs550, with the new fee now being Rs6,050.
The new transfer fee structure, which is Rs. 1000, has already been implemented. Excise officials say the changes are now applicable to all relevant categories of vehicles.
