FPSC issues key instructions for CSS 2026 candidates

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has issued important instructions for those aspiring to appear for the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination this year.

The FPSC has issued a public notice according to which the written examinations of CSS 2026 will begin from February 4, 2026. All registered candidates have been directed to strictly follow the newly issued instructions.

The public notice stated that candidates should verify the validity of their national identity card or passport before the examination and if it has expired, they should renew it immediately.

The FPSC clarified that expired identity cards or passports will not be accepted for entry into the examination hall and such candidates will be barred from appearing in the examination.

The notice further advised candidates to reach their reserved seats at least 50 minutes before the commencement of the examination to complete the identification process and other necessary paperwork. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

The FPSC clarified that no additional material such as stencils, additional papers, notes or any irrelevant items will be allowed in the examination hall. Candidates are allowed to bring only those items that have been approved in the previously issued instructions.

Candidates were urged to follow not only these new instructions but also all the rules and regulations issued earlier. Any violation of these instructions may lead to disciplinary action, including disqualification from the examination.
