German Embassy to prioritize visas for deserving Pakistani students: Details inside

Germany opens new job opportunities for Pakistani workers

ISLAMABAD: The German Embassy in Islamabad has announced that it will process only those student visa applications it deems genuinely deserving, giving priority to those with a strong academic background and scholarship.

In a statement, the embassy confirmed that the quota for the winter semester has been filled.

As per the media report, many students reported receiving acceptance letters from German universities but were not invited for interviews by the German Embassy in Islamabad.

Students claim that the appointment system opened on May 21, but interviews are not being scheduled for applications submitted through the common track. It appears that only fast-track applications are being sought for interviews.

Many students have expressed concerns about processing delays and high costs associated with the visa application process.

The communication section of the German Embassy has clarified that this year, applications for government scholarships or students with exceptional school and undergraduate results will be given priority.

The German Embassy recognizes the large number of young Pakistanis expressing interest in pursuing higher education in Germany.

The current volume of applications exceeds the embassy’s processing capacity. The embassy is working to increase its capacity for faster processing of applications.

The German Embassy has confirmed that it will give preference to scholarship holders and PhD students. Preference will also be given to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher.
