ISLAMABAD: Google for Startups has launched its ‘AI Academy’ in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific region, marking the first success of the Google Chromebook initiative.
This academy aims to foster cross-border partnerships under the Special Investment Facilitation Council to drive AI innovation and establish Pakistan as a global hub for AI development in the region.
Recently, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced 1,000 Google scholarships for students at 10 public universities, highlighting the importance of IT skills for securing jobs in the digital age.
CM Murad emphasized the need for youth to acquire skills in e-marketing, AI, animation, web design, and other technologies to enhance their competitiveness in the global market.
Additionally, CM Murad was informed about the deployment of Google Chromebooks in educational institutions across Sindh. In collaboration with the Education Department, Tech Valley has introduced these Chromebooks and provided teacher training.
Known for their lightweight design, long battery life, and user-friendly management, the Chromebooks are expected to significantly improve the learning experience.
