Punjab Educational Board introduces new Islamiat, Pak studies exam pattern for grade 9

Punjab boards raise exam attempts to six: Details inside

LAHORE: According to a recent educational development, the Punjab Education Board has introduced a significant change in the pattern of Islamiat paper for grade 9.

In accordance with the recent orders of the educational boards issued to all schools, the Islamiat exam for Grade 9 will be held for 100 marks, thus combining it with Pakistan Studies under one single paper.

This change seeks to standardize the assessment and provide a more exhaustive unveiling of a student’s knowledge and understanding of the subject.

For fresh Grade 9 candidates, the Islamiat compulsory paper would bear a weight of 100 marks, and the entire paper would be held for a duration of 3 hours together, thus enabling students to really show detailed understanding of the subject.

To ensure smooth transition to this new mode of examination, the Punjab Textbook Board would be setting and releasing a model paper for the Islamiat exam. The model paper would be uploaded at the official sites of all educational boards, thus providing students and teachers with due resources in their preparation for the examination.

The model paper is supposed to give the students an idea of the exam pattern and types of questions along with the difficulty level through which they can prepare themselves for the final exam fairly well as far as managing their time is concerned.

Besides providing the model paper that guides students on how they should approach the new exam format and perform to the best of their potential, the educational boards have obviously ensured students are prepared to handle the challenges posed by the new exam format challenging for their chance of success.

Teachers and educational boards are expected to do all their duty to ensure a most efficient transition to the one-paper test.
