ISLAMABAD: In a major move for Central Superior Services (CSS) aspirants, the National Assembly has passed a resolution on Friday to increase the age limits and number of attempts for CSS aspirants, according to media reports.
The resolution suggested a maximum age of 35 years and the attempts to five, which is now at 30 years and three attempts respectively.
The resolution was moved by Syeda Nosheen Ifthikhar in the ongoing session of the National Assembly which was passed by majority votes.
The CSS exams are the gateway to the bureaucracy and are highly competitive.
Earlier, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced the results of the CSS Special Examination 2023, here on Wednesday.
According to the results released by the FPSC, 519 candidates qualified in the written part of the CSS Special Examination 2023.
Out of these, a total of 141 candidates were declared successful in the final result. Notably, 5 candidates from Balochistan secured a position in the top 10.
The FPSC said that 4 candidates from Sindh and 1 candidate from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also among the top 10. The successful candidates include 65 males and 76 females.
The overall pass percentage in the CSS Special Exam 2023 stood at 3.20%. Top scorers include Mir Masoor Ali, Zoha Twana, Kinza Ahmed Mughal, Muhammad Zeeshan, Arsalan Khan, Sania, Inzamam Qasim, Murad Khalid, Muhammad Owais Khan, and Zaheer Ahmed.
